I am a PhD student and Graduate Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at The Ohio State University, working on Language Models and Reasoning under the guidance of Prof. Huan Sun and Prof. Srinivasan Parthasarathy. I hold an MS in CS from GeogiaTech and have completed my Bachelors in CS from BITS Pilani, Goa. Prior to starting my PhD, I have worked for 8 years in the industry at various applied research positions including two years at Microsoft Bing!

Outside of work, I have a variety of interests. I enjoy going to the gym, running, and playing cricket and basketball. I also love hiking and exploring the great outdoors. Other interests include cars, anime, and PC gaming!

• [August, 2026]: Our paper "Loop, Think, & Generalize: Implicit Reasoning in Recurrent-Depth Transformers" is accepted at COLM 2026. Look forward to presenting the work in SF this October!
• [July, 2026]: Passed my candidacy exam towards my PhD in Computer Science from The Ohio State University. Thesis titled - "Evaluation, Adaptation, and Architectures for Robust Reasoning in Language Models".
• [April, 2026]: Preprint for our paper "Loop, Think, & Generalize: Implicit Reasoning in Recurrent-Depth Transformers" is now up on arXiv.
• [October, 2025]: My Summer 2024 Amazon internship project, EWoRA, explores improving low-rank adaptation for diverse and heterogeneous fine-tuning data. The work was accepted as a short Findings paper at IJCNLP-AACL 2025! The paper is available here, and the code will be released soon through HuggingFace PEFT.
• [June, 2025]: Started my Summer 2025 internship as a Research Scientist at Meta GenAI.
• [January, 2025]: GroundCocoa has been accepted at NAACL 2025 (Main)! Excited to present our work at Albuquerque, NM, in May as an Oral Presentation! You can now also try out GroundCocoa using the popular lm-evaluation-harness.

• [April, 2024]: Our work on improving Bilingual Lexicon Induction from my internsip at Amazon was accepted at NAACL 2024 Findings! Preprint of our paper, titled "How Lexical is Bilingual Lexicon Induction?" is now available on arXiv.
• [April, 2024]: Released a new benchmark GroundCocoa to evaluate LLMs on Conditional & Compositional Reasoning. The Preprint titled "GroundCocoa: A Benchmark for Evaluating Compositional & Conditional Reasoning in Language Models" is now available on arXiv.
